An Afternoon with David Tutera, June 2007

The Greater Charlotte Chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES) welcomed celebrity-event planner and television personality David Tutera to Charlotte in June 2007.  Stephanie Drew co-chaired the event which drew over 200 guests for lunch at the Charlotte Marriott City Center.  Drew and her committee planned Tutera's entire visit which also included a private welcome dinner hosted by Teresa Earnhardt at DEI's exclusive Trophy Room, media interviews on Fox News Rising and the nationally syndicated Bob & Sheri Show, and a book signing following Tutera's presentation.  

Let Them Eat Cake  (from left)  Sorbet and champagne made for a colorful afternoon refresher; Hydrangeas and ribbon created a soft feel; Centerpieces (by Carolyn Shepard Design Group) and cakes fit perfectly with the modern Marie Antoinette theme of the event; Models from the Aveda Institute donned Marie Antoinette up-do's and lounged as part of the stage decor; A beautiful lace gobo light pattern decked the ballroom wall; Tutera's presentation included great photos and event stories; Tables were draped with layers of linen in icing-esque colors; Stephanie Drew and David Tutera; Tutera's books Party Planner and Birthdays were available for purchase onsite; The book-signing drew quite a crowd.
